Letting Go, Gently

When I bought my camera, it wasn’t just an adult decision — it was that childhood dream nga dugay na kaayo nakong gihuptan. I could still remember the younger me, daydreaming about taking pictures, capturing stories, and freezing tiny moments in time.

Pag-abot gyud niya, I held it like something sacred — dili lang siya gadget, pero murag piece sa akong younger self.

Pero ingon ana gyud ang life. As time went by, the days got busier, the nights got heavier. My camera just stayed there — displayed, untouched, waiting. Sometimes I’d look at it and feel guilty. I’d worry about the humidity, about the lens, about what if one day, di na siya mo-work.

Until I realized… maybe I was holding on too tightly to something that already served its season.

So I decided to let it go.

It’s not just about giving away a camera; it’s saying goodbye to that little girl in me who once dreamed with so much wonder. But I know we tried. We lived that dream, even for a while. And maybe, for now, that’s enough.

Thank you — for the excitement, the creativity, and the dream you once carried for me. You’ll always be part of a chapter I’ll never forget.

Who knows, noh? If life ever slows down, if time and season finally favor me… maybe I’ll find my way back to you. Maybe not you exactly — but to that same joy we once shared. That thought alone gives me hope.

Paddles, Power, and a Whole Lot of Screaming: Our Women's Month White Water Rafting Adventure

Women’s Month is all about celebrating empowerment, resilience, and the incredible strength of women. And what better way to honor that than by testing our courage (and lung capacity) with an exhilarating white water rafting adventure?

Instead of the usual sit-down program or seminar, we decided to culminate Women’s Month with something thrilling—an out-of-town escapade that involved paddles, teamwork, and unexpected mouthfuls of river water. The goal? To celebrate our achievements, bond with each other, and, of course, prove that strong women can conquer not just life’s challenges but also the roaring rapids!

A Date at Kaamulan 2025

My partner and I had been looking forward to this day for days kay nakadaog man siya last weekend sa run, unya nag-promise gyud siya nga manglibre nako — HAHAHA! The Kaamulan Festival had finally begun, and we planned to visit the Capitol Grounds in Malaybalay City. Pag-abot namo, the air was filled with life — naa’y tingog sa mga traditional instruments, baho sa gin-grill nga pagkaon, and the cheerful murmur of the crowd. Hand in hand, we walked past colorful booths, watching the tribal dancers move gracefully with the beat of the drums. Everything felt alive — culture, music, food, and us.
Here are some of my photos taken with my digital camera (FinePix V10 FUJIFILM). πŸ“Έ✨
